Wk 12 — Artist OTW — Heather Anacker & Krista Feld

Heather Anacker and Krista Feld are both artists that work similar between the two. They both have a degree in fine arts and even graduated from CSULB. Considering they like to make art pieces using whatever is uncommon for use, the results tend to be unique and cool.

A lot of the art within the exhibition is very interesting and creative as they both express their ideas explicitly. One example is they dyed some yarn with natural materials while placing the yarn in a way that you spin it and each yarn is a different color.

The coolest art form to me was seeing a backpack that’s designed of something that an Ewok would wear which I thought was funny. It’s a backpack you can travel with and it honestly makes you stand out not because of how it looks but how rare it is to see one like that, especially one that’s homemade.

Anacker and Feld are very open minded and creative and I know they deserve much more recognition. They have so much potential to be well known in my opinion because they are artists who care a lot about what they do and use whatever resources they have. It’s shown so well in the exhibition and just proves you don’t need nothing more than an idea and whatever materials you have to make something so beautiful and fulfilling
